Kiyomi was born and grew up in Tokyo, she started to sing at the age of 8. She joined a classic choir at Primal school developed her singing skill in a band with school mates in junior and high school, her first love in music was Japanese Pop, and got into US, UK rock like 60's 70's music, Blues, Jazz.

In early 1992, she moved to UK at the age of 19, living in West London, she studied at the Pop Music College, and moved on to University to advance her music skill more, she developed all elements of music market, as well as music theory. All together, Kiyomi lived in London for almost 8 years.

During the first year of the course in University, she got a deal from Japanese record label. Kiyomi released a mini album called "Phantom Power" under the name of "Mighty Atom", then teamed up with class mates from University. The sound of break beats, which was pretty much influenced by whole club scene at that time, like Drum & Bass, Trip Hop, Bristol sound. Sold 3,000 copies in the Japanese Market.

It was remarkable as a new group, getting a title of No.1 in some record shops in Tokyo.

Through the success of this group, Kiyomi moved on to collaborate with Andrew Sharply who is a member of Stock Hawsen & Walkman, and did a tour in France.
Her very first of impact in Drum & Bass music was at Metalheadz. The going to the Leisure Lounge in London, and getting totally into the sound since.

Through good advice of her friend, Kiyomi started to going to loads of Drum & Bass parties: Metalheaz-Sunday Session at Blue Note(Hoxton Squre), Swerve at Velvet Underground, Movement at Bar Rumba, Progression Sessions ...

In 2004, Kiymoi approached Klute by sending a demo. She then MC'd for Klute on Klute's secound Japanese tour.

Currently Kiyomi is an actively performing MC in Japan, and working on collaborations with Klute.

Klute's recent collaboration with Calibre "Losing you" featuring Kiyomi is heavily played out on BBC Radio 1 by DJ Fabio. It is Fabio's favorite track at present. "Losing you" will be released under Klute's label Commercial Suicide around March 2005.

"Don't wanna be alone" is the second big tune from Klute feature Kiyomi's vocal. Klute has been playing "Don't wanna be alone" every his DJ set. Goldie heard this track and loved this track, now Klute signed with Metalheaz to release "Don't wanna be alone". It will be out from Metalheadz Platinum series in Spring 2005..

Kiyomi's vocal will be recognized on four tracks on Klute's new album "No one's listening any more". It will be out on store as 2CD's 0n 24th January 2005.
